In an attempt to name a large number with 100 zeros, Googol was coined by Milton Sirotta, the nephew of Edward Kasner, an American mathematician. Although the term does not relate to most mathematical calculations, googol is often used to explain and compare elements with very large numeric values, sizes and quantities.
