While most of us can only dream of waking up to find a full-size version of our favorite arcade game in our room, this young man had that become a reality.

As the release of the next generation of consoles draws a near, a lot of gamers are going to face a tough decision. A decision we have been faced with ever since the release of the NES and the Master System. The SNES and the Genesis. The PlayStation 1 and Nintendo 64. Most of us can only buy one console at a time, and we will have to make that decision again when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are released later this year.

Luckily for those of us who kept hold of our older consoles, we have a smorgasbord of options available to us when the urge to game strikes. Since what’s old is new again in the what with remakes and remasters in all forms of entertainment, having older consoles handy has never been better. Plus, it allows us to show our children what gaming used to be like.

If we’re lucky, our kids will love the games we grew up on as much as we did, and not shrug them off so they can carry on playing Fortnite. Luckily for the parents of the boy in the video below, their son did nothing of the sort. His mom posted a video of the moment her son woke up and found a Street Fighter II arcade cabinet sitting in the corner of his room.

The boy is woken up by the iconic sound of the machine and has to stare at it for a while before he realizes and believes what he is looking at. He then rushes over to his dad, who is filming his reaction, thanks him, and then proceeds to fervently play with his new toy. The video has been viewed more than three million times at the time of typing this.

Since negativity and Twitter go hand-in-hand, some people to watch the video have managed to put a dampener on it, commenting that the boy is spoiled and won’t focus on his grades. His mom has responded, revealing that he lost everything in a tornado seven years ago, even posting a photo of what his room looked like after that event.

It sounds to us like he is more than deserving of being able to play a little Street Fighter from time to time.
