As part of the recent Final Kombat 2020, NetherRealm Studios shared a gruesome gameplay trailer for Mortal Kombat 11’s next DLC character, Spawn. This Spawn gameplay trailer gave fans their very first look at the fighter’s combat prowess and revealed one of his intros and a particularly awesome victory pose. It also showed off Spawn’s Fatal Blow and first Fatality in MK11 – two incredibly vicious assaults that can be seen in the video found below.
First up is Spawn’s Fatal Blow in Mortal Kombat 11, and indeed it packs quite a punch. In it, Spawn begins by taking to the skies and opening his iconic cape, revealing that a host of firearms are concealed within. The legendary comic book character then uses these weapons to rain bullets down upon his opponent, as they thrash about helplessly, and he follows up the attack by summoning two demonic arms that mercilessly tear at his foe’s chest.
This new MK11 Fatal Blow does not end there, though, as Spawn then uses his chains to both impale and elevate his adversary. This pain-inflicting maneuver is followed by the coup de grace, which sees the Hellspawn deliver an exquisite punch directly to his opponent’s face, sending them crashing back to the ground.
With respect to Spawn’s first Fatality in Mortal Kombat 11, its violence certainly rivals his Fatal Blow, and it begins with him once again turning to his chains. Specifically, Spawn uses these instruments to raise his defeated foe high into the air and remove all of the skin below their neck. The forthcoming MK11 DLC character then lets this bloody mess fall, and he then uses his cape to leave the adversary as nothing but bones and exploded entrails.
For fans that would like to see more of Spawn in preface of his release later this month, the aforementioned Spawn gameplay trailer is certainly worth a look. Furthermore, it is almost guaranteed that NetherRealm will host a Spawn-focused Kombat Kast some time in the upcoming weeks, and that should give players a fairly comprehensive understand of the character, providing details on his normals, special moves, tournament variations, and more.
Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
