Call of Duty Warzone 2 is arriving in a matter of days, and with it comes a load of new features that will change the way you play the battle royale.

As well as the new proximity chat feature, Warzone 2 will, for the first time, support third-person gameplay. This joins features such as underwater combat, ledge hanging and vehicles that run out of gas.

Add to the mix the biggest map yet seen in a Warzone game, the stunning Al Masrah map, and you have a recipe for battle royale success.

Warzone 2’s new third-person mode mimics what we’ve already seen in Modern Warfare 2, so if you want to get practice in, this is a good place to start. Here’s everything you need to know.

Warzone 2 third person mode

So, it’s important to note that you’re not able to switch to third-person joining a match. In fact, there will be specific playlists that support this feature. These will be in weekly rotations, should you want to check this out.

As per the Call of Duty website: “A Shift in Perspective: Third-Person Playlists Coming In-Season to Warzone 2.0: For the first time in Warzone history, we welcome fans of third-person Battle Royale action during Season 01.”

It’s obvious why you’re not able to switch to third person during a match, as this would give you a distinct advantage during firefights. Should you select the third-person playlist, everyone will be forced to use that view.

Encouragingly, those who have had a chance to play Warzone 2 in third person seem to really enjoy it. It bodes well ahead of the Warzone 2 launch, which is locked for November 16.

How do I change to 3rd person in warzone?

You are not able to in Warzone. Instead, you have to play a specific third-person playlist in Warzone 2.

Will Warzone 2 have third person?

Yes. There is a third-person mode supported in specific playlists that are on weekly rotation.
