A new advertising campaign will help you determine the source of your stress by looking at your Twitter history. And then it will tell you to play Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate.

So this is a new one. A Japanese advertising company has been contacted by Koei Tecmo to get the word out on the upcoming release of Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. The game will feature brand new characters and bring the total character count up to a whopping 177, including mythological folks like Hades, Achilles, and Gaia. It’ll also add Ryu Hayabusa, the classic Koei ninja from Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive.

You’d think with all those cool names that an ad company would have zero problems producing something fun and interesting, but Kamakura-based company Kayac took a different approach. Instead of making a neat ad spot or a weird subway mural, they made a Twitter bot. The bot will play therapist by looking through your past Twitter posts and identifying sources of stress. Somehow. The exact algorithm the bot uses isn’t really discussed, but it does say that if you tweet about mundane, everyday things and your innermost thoughts, the bot will provide a more accurate description of your stressors.

Anyway, you can check out the bot here. It only speaks in Japanese, so you’ll need to use Google Translate if you don’t speak the language.

After getting some good old fashioned armchair psychology from a bot, you’ll be told to alleviate whatever is stressing you out by playing Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. You’ll be given some links to buy the game from, but they’re also in Japan-only. The North American/European release of Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate isn’t until Valentine’s Day 2020.

If you’ve never tackled a Warriors Orochi game, it’s a mashup of Koei’s two other hack-and-slash you-versus-1000 games, Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. A weird Orochi god spliced the timestreams and managed to get Three Kingdoms-era warriors fighting against Warring States-period samurai. After defeating the Orochi, the franchise keeps managing to find ways to pit these two eras that are 1,300 years apart back together, while adding new eras to the mix.

Warriors Orochi 4 adds Greek and Viking gods and brings the total character count to well beyond any human mind’s ability to understand all 170+ playable characters. You can give it your best shot on February 14th, 2020 when Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate arrives with all those new characters.
