Blizzard Entertainment has revealed that it has no plans for Warcraft 4 just yet, despite the fact fans are obviously eager for a new entry in the popular real-time strategy franchise.
Speaking during an interview with GameSpot, Blizzard senior producer Pete Stilwell made it clear nothing is in the pipeline, though didn’t completely rule anything out.
‘I mean, I wouldn’t rule anything out, but we don’t have any plans around [Warcraft IV] at this point. Getting [Warcraft III: Reforged] right, I think, is our priority first and foremost.’
Given the success of World of Warcraft, it’s probably not surprising to hear Blizzard is in no rush to make a new Warcraft game. Having said that, it is remaking Warcraft 3, which will be hitting PC in 2019.
Hopefully, if Warcraft III: Reforged is a success they’ll take a look at the possibility of developing a fourth game in the series?
