Last night saw the crème of the video games media crop ascend onto the Bloomsbury Ballroom for the annual Games Media Awards, and we’re pleased to report we didn’t go home empty handed.
VideoGamer managed to win in the Video Team category, with the ever grateful Simom Miller of the Miller Report accepting the trophy alongside long-suffering camera-man Jim Trinca and Steve Burns.
“Alright you chuffsters,” said Miller who walked onto the stage dressed in the style of Macho Man Randy Savage – WWE belt included.
Miller was back on stage at the end of the night to claim The Journalists’ Journalist award – voted for on the night by media attendees of the ceremony.
“A great man once said: ‘If you don’t know the score, you don’t know the truth’,” said Miller, quoting himself. “But these are powerful words. I want to thank my parents, because they popped me out.”
That was our lot, but huge congrats to all the other winners and nominees. For more from the night look out for the next episode of The Miller Report.
