Today we announced that we’ve been acquired by Swedish company IBIBI HB. VideoGamer.com will now be part of a new network of sites called Candy Banana. These sites include Planet Destiny, The Sims Resource, Game Debate, VideoGamer Portugal and Sportra.
Things are changing slightly behind the scenes, but the site will be run in the same way as before by the same staff. The acquisition means we’ll be in a stronger position in the years to come, enabling us to continue producing videos about post-it notes and flow charts about Rambo. It also paves the way for a brand new version of the VideoGamer site, with a new design and built on our fancy new publishing platform, which will launch in the coming months.
Of course, we’ll still be running the VideoGamer Community Club through Patreon, with nothing changing on that front. Hopefully our backers will continue to get a lot out of their continued support, and we’re looking forward to putting on our first community event soon.
