Music concert Video Games LIVE will be performing for three nights at this year’s Gamescom, the event’s organisers have announced.

The live performances will take place in the Koelnmesse at 8pm on Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8, and at 6pm on Sunday, August 9, and feature live music from some of the most popular games of all time, including Metal Gear Solid, Skyrim, Sonic and Final Fantasy.

Tickets to the show will only be available to Gamescom attendees, and are available to purchase separately for an additional 40 Euros. Tickets to the Saturday and Sunday performances are available online now, with tickets for Friday’s show available exclusively at 17 Saturn branches across Germany.

“We’re very excited to bring Video Games Live to Gamescom and to Cologne for the very first time,” said producer Tommy Tallarico. “Gamescom being Europe’s and one of the world’s most important video games shows, to us it feels like a natural symbiosis to host our event in direct connection. We’re very much looking forward to welcome Gamescom visitors and video games music fans to our Cologne gig – this should be a perfect opportunity to round up a day filled with video games.”

Gamescom opens its doors to the media on August 5, before opening to the public one day later.
