Vici Gaming have claimed the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational championship title in Kallang, Singapore. The Chinese squad clean-swept the day, besting Gambit in the lower bracket final before taking down Evil Geniuses in the Grand Final. Vici take home the ONE Esports World Pro Invitational trophy and the majority of the $500,000 prize pool.

Evil Geniuses kicked off game one with a quick lead, standing up at seven kills before Vici could find their first. Vici fought back into the game, stealing the gold lead and matching EG in kills before the game reached the twenty minute mark. The Chinese side rode the momentum forward, Zhang “Eurus” Chengjun tearing through his opponents on Magnus. All of EG’s attempts to fight back were quickly swept aside as Vici continued to push towards the base, the gold lead swelling in their favor. One final fight in front of Roshan saw Evil Geniuses concede game one after 49 minutes.

Evil Geniuses took first blood again in game two. The game started out close, though EG maintained their lead. EG built up a gold lead as more kills went their way, the North American team standing up ten kills to eight after the first ten minutes. The kills evened up before Artour “Arteezy” Babaev secured the Aegis of the Immortal, propelling Evil Geniuses forward. EG took an advantage, though quickly lost it as Vici found four kills. Vici pressured Evil Geniuses as they tried to maintain their lead. The game went back-and-forth before Vici took full control with one final push, Zeng “Ori” Jiaoyang cementing their game two victory in 40 minutes.

Game three saw Evil Geniuses secure first blood once again, the North American side reaching five kills before Vici found one. Their lead quickly dwindled as kills were traded between teams. Efforts from Arteezy and Tal “Fly” Aizik allowed EG to take back control of the game. The momentum shifted as Ding “Dy” Cong found a triple kill, powering Vici forward. The game remained close as team fights went back-and-forth. Evil Geniuses were silenced as Eurus led Vici’s push forward, tearing through EG as their gold grew. The Chinese side claimed the game three victory and championship title after 49 minutes.

Vici Gaming leave victorious, taking home the ONE Esports Dota 2 World Pro Invitational trophy and the $200,000 grand prize. Both Vici and Evil Geniuses will compete at DreamLeague Season 13: The Leipzig Major in January.
