Switch owners have been having all the fun and hogging Untitled Goose Game, but that won’t be the case for much longer, as the iconic goose will be waddling over to PS4s and Xbox Ones soon.

As 2019 comes to a close, gamers around the world are busy deciding what was their favorite game of the year. Death Stranding has made a big impact, Call Of Duty rebooted the very popular Modern Warfare chapter of its franchise, while a Star Wars game in the form of Jedi: Fallen Order restored gamers’ faith in titles attached to the saga actually being good sometimes.

All three of those games and most of the others that will make most people’s top ten lists have one thing in common. They were all expected to make a big splash. Untitled Goose Game, on the other hand, was most definitely not. The game was created by indie developer House House and released on Nintendo Switch back in September.

All the game requires of its players is to take control of a goose and wreak havoc on the village it calls home. You can steal items from the villagers whether it be part of the game or just because you want to be a nuisance. It’s simple, yet people loved it. Untitled Goose Game did well in the Nintendo charts, and now its time for the rest of us to get in on the fun.

House House teased that its beloved goose would one day come to other consoles, and finally, that day has come - well, almost. On December 17, 2019, Untitled Goose Game will be available on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation 4. The developers revealed the news via a blog on PlayStation’s website, also discussing how the idea for the game came from a joke about geese in their Slack group chat.

The game will be exactly the same as the one currently available on Switch apart from one added element on PS4 that the developers sound very excited about. “We put in a thing where the controller’s light bar flashes orange when you honk. No one made us do it! We just thought it would be fun,” they wrote on the blog. They’re not wrong, and it’s the first thing we’ll be doing when the game comes to PS4 and Xbox One next week.
