The Division is not only the UK’s No.1 game, but has broken records to become the biggest-selling Q1 release ever, outpacing previous record-holder Gran Turismo 4.

Ubisoft had previously announced that The Division was its biggest-ever launch worldwide, beating Watch Dogs. However, in the UK The Division sits third behind Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed 3. Watch Dogs launched in Q2 and Assassin’s Creed 3 launched in Q4.

54 per cent of The Division sales were on PS4, with 45 per cent on Xbox One.

Far Cry Primal is second, with Black Ops 3 in third, FIFA 16 in fourth and Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 in fifth.

Sales of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD are down 84 per cent, which sees the Wii U game slip from second to ninth – understandable given the console’s low install base.

Hitman, although not getting a disc release until 2017, actually charted at No.29 thanks to the collector’s edition.

Elsewhere Street Fighter V looks to be heading out of the chart, dropping from 11th to 22nd, having only launched four weeks ago.

UFC 2 and Pokken Tournament are new in stores this week, but The Division is likely to have enough staying power to hold at No.1 for a second week. Look out for UFC 2 to make the Top 5, with Pokken Tournament likely doing no better than a Top 10 entry.
