GfK ChartTrack reports that Ubisoft’s Splinter Cell: Conviction has held on at the top of the All Formats All Prices video game chart.
Sales of the spy thriller are down 46 per cent, but still managed to hold off the ever present Just Dance (down 31 per cent).
Rockstar’s GTA: Episodes from Liberty City sticks at No.3, Nintendo’s Wii Fit Plus is up to No.4 and Capcom’s Monster Hunter Tri is a new entry at No.5. Tri becomes the most successful version of this franchise so far in terms of launch sales and chart position.
The only other new entry is Namco Bandai’s Dead to Rights: Retribution, which failed to make much of an impression at No.22.
Friday is another big week for releases, with both Super Street Fighter IV and EA’s FIFA World Cup video game competing for your pennies. Also arriving in stores are Iron Man 2 and the God of War Collection.
