Mortal Kombat X has secured this week’s UK No.1 spot, recording the second biggest launch of 2015 so far and the franchise’s biggest ever UK opening, Chart-Track reports.
PS4 sales accounted for a hefty 61 per cent of MKX sales, with 38 per cent on Xbox One. The game’s opening week sales were only second to Battlefield Hardline, which reportedly sold more units during its launch week than Mortal Kombat X.
GTA 5 takes No.2 thanks to a 94 per cent sales increase following its launch on PC, with Battlefield Hardline dropping to No.3 after a four week run at the top.
FIFA 15 drops back down to No.4, but is only 60 units behind Hardline. Bloodborne is also down 14 per cent and sits in No.5, ahead of Far Cry 4, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Minecraft: Xbox, Minecraft PlayStation and Dying Light.
