Doom earns its first week as the UK’s No.1 video game in its sixth week on the chart, reports Chart-Track.
A £5 price cut for the well received shooter helped see an impressive 57 per cent sales boost, which was enough to overtake Overwatch and earn developer id Software its first No.1 since Doom 3 back in 2004.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End holds in third, followed by FIFA 16 and GTA 5. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is down to sixth, with Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 up 52 per cent to seventh place.
Konami’s Euro edition of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 is up 24 per cent, but isn’t enough to move up from eighth place.
MotoGP 16: Valentino Rossi is new at No.19 and the only new title to enter the Top 40. 2K’s Battleborn has exited the UK Top 40.
