Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 secured another week at the top, perhaps surprisingly given the release of Street Fighter 5 for PS4 and PC.
The 11th week at No.1 makes Black Ops 3 the most successful chart topper in the Call of Duty franchise, bettering the 9 weeks managed by Modern Warfare 2. There’s still a long way to go if Black Ops is to beat the 18 weeks at No.1 achieved by Who Wants to be a Millionaire.
So, it’s a disappointing return for Street Fighter, with V managing only second place and failing to beat the launch week total of Street Fighter IV back in 2009. Perhaps the game performed better digitally, or did its problematic betas deter potential buyers.
EA’s FIFA 16 holds at No.3 with a 65 per cent increase in sales week on week, whilst Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon is the only other new entry, charting at No.9.

Look out for two highly placed new entries next week with Far Cry Primal likely to take top spot, but EA’s Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 2 could also challenge. Where this leaves Street Fighter V is unclear, but it wouldn’t be surprising to see it outside the Top 5.
