Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 6 has taken a bit of a kicking following its launch last week, arriving on the UK all format chart at a disappointing 21.
While Chart Track only takes into consideration physical sales of games, it’s still a pretty bad result for a new entry in what used to be a highly popular fighting game franchise. Not only that, but Dead or Alive 6 is the first game in the franchise since 2012, so you would have thought people would be clamouring for more stage-breaking antics.
Anthem is still the UK’s number one video game, while in terms of new releases The Lego Movie 2 Videogame was the highest entry at number four. Meanwhile, DiRT Rally 2.0 entered the charts in sixth place, while Trials Rising: Gold Edition made number ten.
Devil May Cry 5 will be slashing its way into stores this Friday, so expect things to have a bit of a shakeup next week.
