Trackmania, “the most fun-filled racing game played by millions of PC players worldwide,” will arriving on your Wii consoles soon, and we’ve got the trailer right here at Game Rant.
For those of you unacquainted with the Trackmania franchise, I highly suggest you check it out right now. After all, it’s free!
Trackmania is easily one of my top three favorite racing games, and the news that it’s coming to Wii… well, it’s a little odd. On the one hand, I think the trailer looks fantastic and has me incredibly excited, but on the other, Trackmania has always been about the online racing aspect. A few of my buddies own a server, and I could happily waste a couple of hours just playing through the tracks we’ve uploaded, desperately attempting (and, more often than not failing) to beat all their times.
Still, Focus Home Interactive seem to be excited by Trackmania Wii;
At the moment, the Wii edition of Trackmania seems to be comparable to the 2008 DS game, in that it will be attempting to focus the player’s attention mostly on the single-player aspect. That’s fine for some games, but for Trackmania? Color me skeptical. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed the DS game, but it wasn’t a patch on the original.
TrackMania makes its big entrance in the console world with this remarkable adaptation for the Nintendo Wiiâ„¢! Focus Home Interactive has the pleasure to offer the very first images of the Wii version of this now legendary racing game!
Using your Wiimote and your Nunchuk, your gamepad or your Wii Wheel, pilot racing cars at incredible speeds on spectacular tracks full of ramps, loops, turbo boosts, and other crazy track-blocks. Race on more than 200 tracks divided into six drastically different environments, and numerous game modes!
TrackMania on Wii also offers the incredible and essential track editor, giving the opportunity to create an infinite number of personal tracks! Then share your craziest creations with your friends, thanks to the Nintendo Wi-Fi connection! Of course, multiplayer modes are included: Hotseat mode, 4 players split-screen, and especially online play using Nintendo Wi-fi connection!
