The next DLC content for Total War: Warhammer II will be adding two fearsome lords to the game in the form of Markus Wulfhart of the Empire and Nakai the Wanderer for the Lizardmen.
Total War: Warhammer II has received several DLC packs since its launch. Some have added new factions to the game, like the undead Tomb Kings and the ships of the Vampire Coast, as well as different storylines for the campaign mode, such as introducing the Sword of Khaine as an objective for the elven factions. There are smaller DLC packs that add specific lord units to the game, but they are usually accompanied by some new regular units.
The next DLC pack for Total War: Warhammer II is called The Hunter and The Beast and introduces two new lords for the Empire and Lizardmen factions. Both be used in the Eye of the Vortex campaign and Mortal Empires campaigns.
The new lord for the Empire is Markus Wulfheart, who is the leader of the Huntmarshal’s Expedition and will be adding Archers, Huntsmen, and War Wagons to the game. It will be possible for Markus to seek out four different exiled heroes and bind them to his cause as he seeks to take control of the jungle. If Markus’ expedition is successful, then he can call upon more aid from the Empire.
The Lizardmen won’t take this invasion into their territory lying down, though, as Nakai the Wanderer is tasked with protecting the sacred temples of the land from being taken by humanity. Nakai will be bringing the Dread Saurians, Sacred Kroxigors, and Razordon Hunting packs to fight against Wulfhart and his armies.
The Hunter and The Beast DLC will also coincide with some free updates for Total War: Warhammer II, including a reworking of the Old World campaign map, the addition of a co-op campaign mode for the Empire, and the Empire Office system being replaced with the Elector Counts system, which will change the way diplomacy works.
The Hunter and The Beast DLC for Total War: Warhammer II will be available on September 11, 2019.
