The next Nintendo Direct has finally been announced for September 4, which arrives after weeks of speculation and numerous leaks from trigger-happy websites, including Nintendo itself.
The upcoming Nintendo Direct is going to focus on games that are releasing in 2019, which means that there won’t be much information released about games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s likely that there will still be trailers released for upcoming titles, but the games listed as the focus for the Direct are Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield, both of which are due to be released over the next two months.
The other Nintendo Switch games that are due to still be released in 2019 include Daemon X Machina, The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Contra Rogue Corps, Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition, Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince, Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz HD, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition, and Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Remastered Edition, all of which could appear during the Direct.
A lot of information has leaked about the potential content for the upcoming Nintendo Direct, but if even half of it is true, then it’s a great time to be a Nintendo Switch owner.
The next Nintendo Direct will happen on September 4 at 3:00 PM PT/23:00 PM GMT.
