Hello Game Ranters and welcome to Nintendo Monday!
Last week we saw Super Mario Kart released on the VC! This week we see the release of 10 different downloadable games for Wii and DSi, previews for 10 Wii games and 9 DS games available at retail this Tuesday and Thursday. That’s a list of 29 games if you can’t count, so let us begin with the more notable releases for Nintendo this week!

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel
RELEASE: December 1st
SYSTEM: Wii, DS
PRICE: $39.99
The TV show use to be great when I was 5… unfortunately this game will never become anything more than a horrific quick cash scheme.
Avatar: The Game
PRICE: $49.99
James Cameron’s long awaited film isn’t here quite yet, so in the meantime you can whet your appetite by trying out Ubisoft’s take at the Avatar universe!
Dawn of Heroes
SYSTEM: DS
PRICE: $29.99
Utilizing mythological characters, Dawn of Heroes is a strategy game for kids!
DJ Star
DJ Star lets players start off as a small time DJ and as the game progresses
Rec Room Games
SYSTEM: Wii
Rec Room features all the table games you wish you could afford! The title has 20 different games including Air Hockey, Table Tennis, Table Soccer, and Whack-a-mole!
Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero
This game takes you back to Raccoon City before the events of the first Resident Evil. You control Rebecca Chambers and Billy Coen in this 3rd person action/adventure title!
Rogue Trooper: The Quartz Zone Massacre
Based on the comic book series, Rogue Trooper follows the last survivor of the massacred Genetic Infantrymen. Apparently, he is pissed and looking for revenge.
Storybook Workshop
If you have little kids then this might be a decent investment for you. This game features 16 classic children’s stories and a mic that will allow you to alter your voice to match the character’s in the book.
Think: Logic Trainer
PRICE: $19.99
Look at the title of this game and think… think harder… okay now after all that thought you probably realize that this is just a blatant rip-off of Brain Age and Big Brain Academy.
Think: Logic Trainer: Kids
RELEASE: December 3rd
Pretty much the same thing as Think: Logic Trainer… just with easier questions so the children can get on the fun too!
Space Station Tycoon
PRICE: $44.99
If you aspire to be a tycoon then you could very well like this game. Build up a space empire, and this time around you can do it with a friend! 2-Player co-op is never a bad thing.
World Party Games
It really is a world party in this game! Each continent features it’s very own game special to that area, this means curling with seals in Antarctica and rain dances in Africa!
Yoga
The last of this week’s Wii retail line-up is a yoga game! It uses the Wii Balance Board in order to craft the perfect bridge between mind and body.
