This week in iPhone games, we take a look at a port from a popular fighting series, peruse a new turn-based strategy game, check out a classic, and get a promising preview of an upcoming release.
Street Fighter IV: Great port of a classic fighting game. This is one fighting game on the iPhone where the controls don’t seem to inhibit the gameplay much at all. You can pull off Guile’s Sonic Boom or Ryu’s Hadoken for $9.99! See what Jeff has to say about Street Fighter IV on the iPhone.
We Rule: All the addiction and casual gameplay of Farmville – without annoying your friends by flooding their news feeds. This free turn-based strategy game has you build up your own kingdom by growing crops, mining, and more. Add your friends for a fun multiplayer experience. Check out Phillipe’s overview on the title.
SkiFree: One word that describes my experience with this classic - Nostalgia! This classic computer game made its way to the iPhone, and it can be yours for the price of nada. Ski down the slopes, do tricks off jumps for points and try not to hit trees or rocks. The next update will include the infamous yeti and other original classic easter eggs.
Frogman: Set to release in April, Frogman looks like a cool re-imagining of the classic Frogger. The video shows some killer graphics for the iPhone, with fun environments. No word on pricing yet, but I have to agree with Gizmodo when they say this would have been $20 for the DS two years ago. Check out the video below:
