During Ubisoft’s E3 2019 conference, the company announced Uplay+, a subscription-based game service with access to over 100 games. The service gives players access to brand new Ubisoft games on launch, as well as DLC and premium editions of its games. It’s $14.99 per month, and it will include Watch Dogs: Legion and Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, the two big games from Ubisoft’s briefing, Check out the trailer: Ubisoft has also said, in a statement on the official site, ‘The service will launch on September 3, but players who sign up between now and August 15 will be able to get free access to Uplay Plus from September 3 through September 30....

Ubisoft has confirmed the cancellation of Project Q, the company’s mysterious upcoming PVP battle arena game it teased last year. Last week, Ubisoft announced it had cancelled three “unannounced” titles and delayed its vapourware pirate ship game Skull and Bones yet again, on top of the four projects it previously abandoned last summer. Now, Eurogamer can confirm that Project Q was one of the games that Ubisoft most recently ditched....

Valve boss Gabe Newell would happily help Microsoft get Game Pass on Steam, he’s said. During an interview with PC Gamer, Newell was asked about the option of creating a subscription service such as Microsoft’s Game Pass for the Steam Deck. In response, Newell said: “I don’t think it’s something that we think we need to do ourselves, building a subscription service at this time. “But for [Microsoft’s] customers it’s clearly a popular option, and we’d be more than happy to work with them to get that on Steam....

Warner Bros. has announced a new mobile collectible card game in the Harry Potter universe, featuring MMO and RPG elements. Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, developed by Netease and co-published by WB Games under Portkey Games, will let players collect and level over 70 cards to be used in PvP brawls and PvE challenges. The game is set 10 years after the defeat of Voldemort in the Battle of Hogwarts and involves a new generation of witches and wizards....

Call of Duty Warzone 2 is arriving in a matter of days, and with it comes a load of new features that will change the way you play the battle royale. As well as the new proximity chat feature, Warzone 2 will, for the first time, support third-person gameplay. EA has finally confirmed that the Werewolf expansion is coming to The Sims 4. The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack - which releases on Steam, Origin, and Xbox on 16th June - brings “unique temperaments and abilities, be affected by the phase of the moon, and experience wolf-specific life events”. It’ll be welcomed news for Simmers who may have been disappointed that werewolves were not part of the recent update, despite EA teasing that werewolves might finally be making a return to the series for the first time since The Sims 3’s Supernatural expansion....
