Gearbox head Randy Pitchford has revealed that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will include full crossplay for all platforms at launch. Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Realmforge Studios have announced plans to release new DLC for Tropico 6 later this month. Confirmed for an August 26 release, the ‘Festival’ DLC will bring non-stop party fever to Tropico 6. This will be the island tycoon game’s sixth major DLC following the release of Caribbean Skies last December. The premise is as follows. The unstoppable evil force known as boredom is taking over Tropico, and it’s your job as the island’s honorable leader to turn things around....

Turok EX, a PC re-release of classic Nintendo 64 FPS Turok: The Dinosaur Hunter, has been picked up by Night Dive Studios and will resume development later this year. The news comes from PC dev Samuel “Kaiser” Villarreal, who leaked the news speaking to Tech Raptor. Kaiser is currently remaking ’96 shooter PowerSlave, and was asked about giving the same treatment to Turok. “I was originally working on remaking N64 Turok (called Turok EX) but it got put off to the side....

Popular livestreaming platform Twitch has announced its promised new lower regional pricing for subscriptions will come into effect in the UK and Europe this week. As announced by the official Twitch UK & Ireland Twitter account, the UK will now only pay £3.99 GBP a month while those in Ireland will pay €3.99 EUR. Previously, viewers could support their favourite streamers and channels for a cost of £4.99 a month. The company also states in its article that Tier 2 and Tier 3 subs, which allow viewers to subscribe at higher levels, will also be adjusted accordingly....

Ubisoft has announced it is “no longer targeting a FY23 release” for its troubled Prince of Persia: Sands of Time remake. Following rumours that The Sands of Time remake - which has moved release date several times now - was being delisted at some major retailers, Ubisoft released a brief statement confirming the game has formally been “delisted” as the game’s latest development studio, Ubisoft Montreal “continue[s] the work to deliver a great remake”....

Ubisoft has announced the full line-up of titles coming to its subscription service Uplay+. In addition to expected titles like Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Tom Clancy titles, a number of other classic franchises will see a return on modern platforms via the service. Alright ranters, we got an ultimate fighting beef on our hands. However, its probably not the beef your thinking about, no haymakers being thrown, or stamina bars dropping to zilch. This beef is literally regarding the term “Ultimate Fighting.” Zuffa (parent company of mixed martial arts league UFC) has sued Ubisoft for copyright infringement for using the term “Ultimate Fighting,” in their latest, less-than-stellar motion control game, entitled Fighters Uncaged. So it seems that the fight is beginning to stretch out of the octagon, and into the courtroom....

An internal statement from Activision Blizzard on unionisation has been released online, seemingly persuading employees against the practice. From VP of QA Christian Arends, the message refers to employees’ rights to discuss potential unionisation and answers some key questions. The message was shared online by former employee Jessica Gonzalez, one of the founding members of the ABetterABK employee group. “VP of QA at Activision just posted this shit in company slack LOL,” she wrote....

Sony Bend’s Days Gone is out next week exclusively for PlayStation 4, and like most games nowadays, it’s getting a day one patch. That’s according to the folks at Playfront, who have obtained a press pack for the game ahead of its launch. The update will bring the Freaker-mashing open-world title to version 1.02, although it doesn’t appear to be anything too significant, and is mainly aimed at bug fixing. It’s not known how big the patch is, though....

Today Square Enix announced the release dates and revealed a new trailer of its upcoming action JRPG Valkyrie Elysium. The game will release on September 29, 2022 for PS5 and PS4. PC players on Steam will have to wait a bit longer, as Valve’s marketplace will sell the game on November 11, 2022. The trailer shows off story cutscenes and a look at the cast, before moving to its action gameplay and a variety of fights and boss battles....

For me, a new map is more exciting than a new agent in Valorant. I’ve got a few characters I enjoy and I’m happy to play them for hours. But maps, I like to play a different one every game. Fracture is the seventh map to be added to Valorant and from my time in the preview, I can tell you it feels unlike any Riot Games has released before....
