In the relative infancy of 2023, it seems as though we have already found our crowning achievement, courtesy of a mashup we didn’t even know we needed. Over on Twitter, voice actor and sound designer Tom Schalk has made quite the stir by overlaying the famous dance scene from Netflix’s Wednesday with sound design courtesy of Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball series....

A new reveal from a recent Weekly Shonen Jump issue suggests that there is a backlog of Hunter x Hunter scripts to work through. Specifically, an artist working with Yoshihiro Togashi says that all chapters published since the series resumed are four years old, not a recent creation. On top of that, there are an additional 30 finished scripts ready to be drawn. It seems that when Yoshihiro Togashi took four years off for his health, he didn’t abandon the series....

NBC has ordered a pilot for Midnight Texas, a supernatural drama based on the books of the same name by True Blood author Charlaine Harris, reports Variety. The show is described as a blend of Twin Peaks and True Blood. Events take place in the remote town of Midnight, Texas, where you could find yourself living next all manner of supernatural creatures including vampires, witches, werewolves and angels. Much like True Blood you can expect a mix of mystery, horror and romance....

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Toby Fox’s brilliant subversive RPG Undertale, and to celebrate the developer has offered a long-awaited update on the progress of his follow up game, Deltarune which saw Chapter One released on PlayStation 4, PC and Nintendo Switch back in 2018. Writing in an update blog post on the Undertale website, Fox expressed his gratitude to the Undertale and Deltarune fans for the support he’s recieved as a result of the game and on his continued work on the follow-up....

In the new movie Vice, Amy Adams plays Lynne Cheney, the wife of former Vice President Dick Cheney and, as portrayed in the movie, a sort of Lady Macbeth to her husband. Early in the film, a young and reckless Cheney (Christian Bale) is pulled over for drunk driving and later read the riot act by his future wife: shape up or she’s not sticking around. Well, it’s hardly a spoiler to reveal that Cheney does indeed get his act together and Lynne stays, supporting and actively working alongside her husband as his career takes him from a Congressional internship to the Nixon White House to the Ford Administration, where he became Chief of Staff, to a decade-long stint in the House of Representatives, then into the first Bush White House as Secretary of Defense, and then eventually as the most powerful vice president in history under the second Bush....

Psyonix has announced that Warner Bros. will publish the retail version of Rocket League when it comes out later this year. The developer has revealed that a worldwide retail distribution agreement has been agreed with the publisher for a retail release of the high-powered hybrid of football (not soccer) and driving game. The updated retail release will be available in stores for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (with a Switch release to follow) later this year, and the developer has said it will announce details of the additional content at a later date....

Toejam and Earl: Back in the Groove from Humanature Studios is seeking $400,000 via Kickstarter funding. Although closely linked to SEGA, the rights to the franchise are actually owned by Humanature, a studio founded by Toejam and Earl co-creator Greg Johnson. “I, along with some bright and talented friends, are finally going to make that ultimate Toejam and Earl sequel that the fans have been asking for all these years,” said Johnson....

Today Sega and Creative Assembly released another brand new trailer of the upcoming Warhammer strategy game Total War: Warhammer III.
