Valve has undertaken a move to delete Steam profiles containing Nazi symbolism, following an interaction with the German broadcasting regulator, Media Agency Hamburg/Schleswig-Holstein (via Game Rant). The swastika and other images of the Nazi regime are counted under the Strafgesetzbuch section 86a criminal code in Germany. Exhibiting these sorts of symbols outside the contexts of “art or science, research or teaching” is illegal. Symbols such as the Sig rune, the “Heil Hitler” greeting, the Reichsadler using the Nazi swastika, and the Reichskriegsflagge must only be used in literature, television shows, films, and other works of art....

SCS Software has rolled out Update 1.46 for both Euro Truck Simulator 2 and its sister-sim, American Truck Simulator. This includes new gameplay features, new drivable roads, new ownable trailers, and more. In terms of shared enhancements, there’s a lot to go around. The update revamps the photo mode, which has long been a part of both sims. In addition to having a new layout, there are now “Photo Trophies” scattered about the map — represented by gray camera icons that have no description....

Total War: Three Kingdoms has had quite a successful launch so far. After Three Kingdoms broke the series’s pre-order sales record, Creative Assembly announced that the game has surpassed one million copies sold. Not bad for the first week. As it turns out, much of the game’s sales success has come from China. Rob Bartholemew, CPO of Creative Assembly, has spoken about the success they have received so far. Ubisoft Asia General Manager Steve Miller has said that Assassin’s Creed Odyssey may well be the most successful Assassin’s Creed ever in Japan. In an interview with DualShockers, Miller said, ‘Assassin’s Creed has a core following in Japan, and it is one of the most successful Western series in Japan.’ Ubisoft has made considerable efforts to maintain a strong standing in the Japanese market, as Miller explained: ‘Ubisoft still has room to grow in Japan as well as in other countries in this region....

Ubisoft’s latest quarterly earning call might not be the most exciting place to discover news, but for expectant fans of the Ghost Recon and Driver franchises, it does at least shed some light on when they’ll be playing the latest games in those series. The disappointing news coming out of the report is that the veteran franchises have found themselves being pushed back into the ambiguous “2011-12” release window. Ghost Recon: Future Soldier and Driver: San Francisco were both originally scheduled for a fourth quarter release, which would have seen the games released before the end of March, 2011....

Netflix has just confirmed that the CGI anime inspired by the popular tokusatsu franchise Ultraman is getting a third and final season. The new season, which will follow the second that has just debuted on the popular streaming platform, will launch in 2023.
