Following its frankly catastrophic Pokémon Go Fest in Chicago, Niantic cancelled its planned European events. These have now been pencilled in for this month, beginning in Germany, France and Spain on September 16. New dates have also been announced for the delayed August events in Denmark, Czech Republic, Sweden and the Netherlands. Niantic has announced on its blog that the Safari Zone get-togethers will begin from September 16 located at CentrO in Oberhausen, Germany, Les Quatre Temps in Paris and La Maquinista in Barcelona....

As always, Google’s streaming platform is looking to introduce more games to its library. This time around it’s Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, a popular looter shooter released last year. The Division 2 is already listed on the official Stadia game list and will release on March 17. The latest expansion, Warlords of New York, will release alongside the main game on Stadia. There’s some great news regarding the Stadia release too....

Videogame news sure moves fast. Just last week, Crystal Dynamics unveiled Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, a forthcoming downloadable title that would evolve the series in ways that no-one had previously expected. A new trailer for Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon has been released which shows off the exclusive Z-Moves available to the game’s starter Pokemon. Each move will be available to the Pokemon once they fully evolve. Z-Move: Sinister Arrow Raid Pokémon: Decidueye Decidueye slices through the air together with a hail of arrow quills, crashing into the target before dealing the final blow with its arrows. Z-Move: Malicious Moonsault Pokémon: Incineroar With flames spouting from its flame belt, Incineroar leaps high into the sky and dives straight down onto its target....

Dovetail Games’ Train Sim World 2 is one of the latest entries in the long-running subgenre of train simulators. As such, the developers take a lot of pride in offering a defining level of realism in terms of both mechanics, features, and graphical capabilities. In fact, a lot of these features are attributed to the capabilities of Unreal Engine. American Twitch streamer Ludwig Ahgren has officially broken the record for the most paying subscribers on the streaming platform following a marathon 31-day stream with more than 282,000 subscribers (at the time of writing) and climbing. As reported by Kotaku, Ludwig —who already boasted 2 million followers— had undertaken a “never-ending” marathon stream challenge, where each subscription would add another 10 seconds to the time he streamed for. As you’ve probably gathered, things escalated as viewers kept subscribing and eventually he decided to set a cutoff date, with the stream coming to an end yesterday evening with a final day-long charity drive for The Human Society and St Jude’s during which the record was broken....

Ubisoft has confirmed details on Year 4 of Rainbow Six Siege, with Operation Burnt Horizon touted as a ‘fresh new beginning’ for the popular squad shooter. Season One of the game’s fourth year kicks off with two Australian operators, and is complemented by the Outback map. Following on from this, Season Two will open the flood gates to another pair of operators, one hailing from Denmark and the other from North America....

Today Ubisoft announced the dates for two reveal livestreams coming over the next few months. The first is the gameplay debut of the multiplayer pirate game Skull and Bones, which will happen on July 7 at 7:00 pm BST, 8:00 pm CEST, 11:00 am PDT, or 2:00 pm EDT, depending on where you live. The livestream will happen on both YouTube (which you can find embedded below alongside a dedicated trailer) and Twitch....

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the UK’s new No.1 video game after recording huge week one sales, reports GFK ChartTrack. CD Projekt Red’s sequel sold through 53 per cent more units than Battlefield Hardline managed back at its launch, which had been the year’s debut week best seller. In addition, whilst matching the No.1 position of The Witcher 2 in 2012, The Witcher 3 actually managed a 608 per cent increase in units sold....

Today Riot Games revealed a previously-teased new cinematic trailer for its popular free-tp-play hero shooter Valorant. The trailer features an all-female cast of beloved agents including Killjoy, Reyna, Neon, and Viper during a hacking attempt that will reveal something definitely unexpected. Of course, the new cinematic serves to introduce the brand new Episode 5 that will launch with Act 1 this week, and more precisely on Wednesday, June 22. The update will include the new map titled “Pearl,” which is also hinted at in the trailer....

DONTNOD is set to release a four-part web series which will reveal what it takes to bring the narrative-driven RPG Vampyr to life. Each episode will be five minutes long and will include new gameplay footage while providing an insight into the development process. The first episode called ‘Making Monsters’ will help viewers understand the game’s protagonist Jonathan Reid as he struggles with his vampire/doctor persona.
