Konami has been reaching into its past as of late to try and repurpose old games into new big sellers. Two veteran lead developers who worked on 2019 open world post-apocalyptic adventure Days Gone have departed Sony’s Bend Studio, with both confirming their departures via Twitter in the last 24 hours. As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, both writer-director John Garvin and game director Jeff Ross announced their departures within ten minutes of each other late last night, although Garvin revealed he had actually departed the studio over a year ago shortly after Days Gone had shipped....

On October 6, Daniel Zeichner, the Labour MP for Cambridge, submitted two questions to Parliament. This followed a meeting with one of his constituents, who’d asked the MP ‘whether gambling laws should apply to loot boxes in games’, and also, ‘what steps were being taken to protect vulnerable adults and children from illegal gambling in video games?’ These questions have now been answered by Tracey Crouch, who’s the Parliamentary Under-Secretary for the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport....
