Gaijin Entertainment, the developer and publisher of WW2 air combat game War Thunder, has announced Enlisted, a new crowdfunded WW2 shooter currently in development for PC. Developed by Darkflow Software, Enlisted describes itself as an ‘MMO squad based shooter’ that sees around 100 players battling in various WW2 campaigns. Each campaign will be sold separately, the developer says, with the first two set to be based around the Battles of Moscow and Normandy....

Watch Dogs 2 will be officially revealed at 5pm BST this Wednesday, June 8, Ubisoft has announced, almost a week ahead of E3. The date was revealed alongside a new teaser trailer released earlier today, which appears to offer the first official look at the game’s new lead character. Today CD Projekt announced that a remake of the original The Witcher is in the works. It will be developed by Polish studio Fool’s Theory in Unreal Engine 5. The remake was teased a few weeks ago by CD Projekt itself with the code name “Canis Maioris.” The game will be “rebuilt from the ground up” with Epic Games’ new engine. Destiny: The Taken King has secured Activision’s first No.1 video game in the UK since Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s last time at the top back in February. Researchers at the University of Washington have created a game to help fight COVID-19, otherwise known as the novel coronavirus. It’s a somewhat bizarre, though incredibly interesting, concept that may have tangible real-world benefits if enough people participate. The game, dubbed Foldit, allows players to create antiviral proteins to combat coronavirus, the disease that directly led to GDC being postponed. Players start off using intro tutorials to learn the basic mechanics of the game but are then able to create their own antiviral proteins....

The developer stated that the report is “not true,” and it was “talking to numerous potential partners” for “possible strategic cooperation.” Right now, the developer is independent.
