Star Wars: Battlefront is the UK’s new No.1 video game, becoming the year’s fourth biggest launch in the process, reports Chart Track. The launch of Battlefront sees last week’s No.1, Fallout 4, drop 80 per cent week-on-week and slip to third place. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 holds at second, whilst FIFA 16 sales are up 14 per cent as the game rises into fourth spot. Despite much talk about Rise of the Tomb Raider flopping, the game achieved a not too shabby second week decline of only 37 per cent to see it chart in fifth....

The expected 1.11 update to Valorant dropped last night, bringing with it the highly anticipated new agent, Skye. It’s the last major patch before Riot Games’ First Strike tournament, so the developers also took the opportunity to balance some of the other agents, specifically initiators and sentinels. There are also some economy updates, Icebox enters the Competitive map rotation, and left-hand view is now available. Well, it was. The latest Valorant patch turned out to be a buggy mess....

While it’s not the most recent release in the Warriors Orochi series, Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition (yes, that is a confusing title) has landed on Steam today. Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate Definitive Edition gathers all of the content from the musou game’s pre-Ultimate original 2012 release. The Ultimate version of Warriors Orochi 3 came two years later in 2014, but this is the first time any of Orochi 3 has hit Steam....

Batman: Arkham Origins developer WB Games Montréal posted a video with three teaser images that seem to hint the Court of Owls project is the next adventure for the caped crusader. September 21 is Batman Day, and it was the 80th anniversary of the dark knight’s first comic book appearance this year. Lots went batty in their celebrations, and even Fortnite has a crossover event occurring in honor of Bruce Wayne and Selina Kyle....

Titanfall 2 will feature a single-player campaign set in a “grounded, dirty, human and real” world where “science meets magic”, lead writer Jesse Stern has revealed. Work on the sequel allegedly began late in 2014 with development reportedly expected to wrap up “late this year or early next”, but EA won’t commit to a release date beyond the fact it’s coming before March 31, 2017. “We’re only a little past a year into it,” Stern told Forbes....

A new trailer for Total War Saga – Thrones of Britannia has been released today and this time it’s another cinematic trailer. This video highlight’s the game’s environments which it also highlights how crap the British weather can be as most of what’s shown it’s quite gloomy. The environments do look gorgeous though, especially when the sun doe decide to make an appearance. Total War Saga – Thrones of Britannia is out in just over a week on 3 May....

Announced during the latest Nintendo Direct, Tunic is coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 27th, the same day the little Zelda-inspired fox hits PS4 and PS5. Tunic was previously only available on Xbox consoles, PC and Mac, and was also a day one Xbox Game Pass title. If you’re not familiar with Tunic, it’s an indie game primarily developed by just one person, Andrew Shouldice, who was inspired by early Zelda games and their detailed manuals, particularly Zelda II - but don’t let that put you off....

Twitch’s senior vice president of global creators, Constance Knight, is leaving the company. In a statement shared with staff on Wednesday, Knight said she was off on a “new adventure that provides exciting growth opportunities for [her] both professionally and personally” in the “creator space”. Knight’s departure from Twitch means the firm has lost its chief content officer, chief operating officer, and Knight’s position in the last year alone (thanks, Bloomberg)....
