Ubisoft has let slip that it will launch an ‘unannounced franchise title’ by the end of its current financial year, which wraps on March 31, 2019. There’s nothing known about the mystery title right now, although considering it’s an addition to an existing franchise, there’s plenty of room for speculation. Assassin’s Creed is probably unlikely, seeing as how we’ve heard murmurs that the next game won’t launch until 2019 and Ubisoft appears to be moving away from its annual release schedule for the franchise....

Yesterday marked the premiere of the first official trailer for Marvel Studios’ Thor, comic book gamers have been waiting patiently for the 2010 Spike Video Game Awards for a chance to see the Thor tie-in video game from Sega. What is confirmed for next week’s event, though, is the first live gameplay footage of Titanfall 2’s multiplayer, which is to be broadcast direct from Gamescom next Tuesday, August 16. The event will see a variety of YouTube personalities competing in multiplayer battles live on Twitch from 8pm BST and, Respawn says, will be “the perfect time to get a little preview of what you can expect”....

There’s a mobile RTS game coming out in Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy Universe, but for now, you’ll only be able to get it in the Google Play Store. Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad merges characters from all of Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy games into one single RTS/RPG hybrid. Players will be able to build a squad made up of characters from Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Splinter Cell and more. It’s not just the main or most iconic characters, like Sam Fisher and Caveira, that you’ll be able to choose from, either – though they’ll certainly be available....
