Battlefield 2042’s latest update arrives today, and tweaks yet another map. Update 2.2 reworks Orbital in a similar manner to how September’s patch reworked the (appropriately named) Renewal. Here, Battlefield developer DICE says it has “improved gameplay flow” and added more cover and assets, as well as various terrain improvements. Another big addition to this update is that of persistent servers for Battlefield Portal, so your server will always remain available within the game’s server browser - even when there are no active players....

Total War developers Creative Assembly today revealed new content for one of their games in its hugely popular Total War series, but perhaps surprisingly rather than for their latest offering, Empire Divided will be released for the older 2013 title Total War: Rome 2. Ustwo Games, the BAFTA award-winning studio behind Monument Valley, will contend with legal action following claims of union busting. According to Game Workers Unite (GWU), senior programmer at Ustwo Austin Kelmore was dismissed by the studio in late September. He was a key programmer on Assemble with Care, a puzzle game released on iOS through Apple Arcade.
