The next Nintendo Direct has finally been announced for September 4, which arrives after weeks of speculation and numerous leaks from trigger-happy websites, including Nintendo itself. The upcoming Nintendo Direct is going to focus on games that are releasing in 2019, which means that there won’t be much information released about games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons. It’s likely that there will still be trailers released for upcoming titles, but the games listed as the focus for the Direct are Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Pokémon Sword & Shield, both of which are due to be released over the next two months....

Twitch streamer ExoHydraX has been permanently banned from the streaming service due to what Twitch calls “suggestive clothing.” This is the latest in a line of female Twitch streamers being banned for suggestive content when the reasoning is questionable at best. ExoHydraX was originally a YouTube streamer for five years, and still streams on that service, but moved to Twitch due to the larger viewership. However, after a stream that was attacked by trolls using racial slurs, her account was banned for her wearing suggestive clothing....

Maxime Beland, Vice President of Editorial and former Creative Director of the Splinter Cell and Far Cry series, has resigned from his role at Ubisoft. The resignation comes as a result of an ongoing investigation of Beland involving various workplace abuses over the years. While nobody is going to discredit developer Valve for the amount of innovation they put into Portal 2, some might have been wondering what features the company had planned to include in the game, but eventually scrapped for various reasons. Even though this weapon hits hard, it’s held back by low bullet velocity, slow fire rate, and general impracticality, especially when compared to other top-tier weapons.
