Ubisoft has announced it’ll be holding a free weekend for Watch Dogs: Legion kicking off from this Friday afternoon. Those interested will be able to download the game client right now and start playing from 3pm UK time on Friday, September 3 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia. Compulsion Games’ swingin’ 60s survival game We Happy Few has been delayed yet again, the studio has announced. Originally due to hit PS4, PC, and Xbox One in Spring 2018, the title has now slipped to a summer release window. The team explained that they’re busy tweaking the first few hours of the game, and as such the project needs a few extra months in the oven. Tony Hawk developer Vicarious Visions has fully merged with Blizzard Entertainment. Activision previously acquired the New York-based studio in 2005. Moving forward, it will instead become a subsidiary of Blizzard Entertainment. This merging was confirmed on the official Vicarious Visions Twitter account earlier today. Its new role will be to dedicate itself entirely to Blizzard’s intellectual properties. That means that it’s unlikely that Vicarious Visions will be creating games in the future as the lead developer....

Twister, the 1996 blockbuster hit, is set to conjure a new vaunted vortex on the big screen, thanks to plans for—get ready for it—a reboot movie. Universal Pictures, which co-produced the original film, is spearheading a Twister reboot effort, and is in talks to tap Joseph Kosinski to direct, according to Variety. With less than two days to go until Stadia’s full shutdown, owners of Google’s failed cloud gaming service are bracing themselves for the end. Over the weekend, Google unveiled a final surprise: Worm Game, a colourful version of Snake used within the company for testing purposes. Now, Stadia’s remaining fans are fighting for the top spot on Worm Games’ leaderboard before everything gets switched off forever (thanks, The Gamer).
