Developer Complex Games have offered up a behind the scenes look at upcoming tactical RPG Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters. In the first of what will be a three part series, the first video explains the game’s core mechanics. It’s described as a “fast paced, turn-based tactical RPG” that’s set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The game’s campaign mode will see you take charge of a battalion of Grey Knights as they fight to stop a plot to infect worlds with a deadly cosmic plague called The Bloom....

Watch Dogs Legion will no longer be updated, Ubisoft has said, and the game’s current multiplayer season will be its last. In a blog post flagged via social media on Friday evening, Ubisoft said that the game’s 5.6 patch - released four months ago in September 2021 - was actually its final update. The game’s fifth and final multiplayer season, which began at the weekend, will now be followed by repeats of seasons three, four and five on a cycle until servers are eventually switched off....

Soclap, the developer behind Absolver and the upcoming martial arts game Sifu, has described its next title as the martial arts movie we’ve always wanted to play. Well, today, just ahead of its big launch, the studio has flipped the script, teaming up with director Christopher Clark Cowan (youtube RivenX3i) to actually produce a live-action adaptation of Sifu. If you haven’t heard of Sifu, it’s a third-person action game featuring intense hand-to-hand combat that puts you in control of a young Kung-Fu student on a path of revenge....

Timesplitters Rewind, a re-imagining of the cult hit from a team of part-time developers, is scheduled to be out in 2017, rather than the initially slated 2018. A Twitch streamer has been banned for wearing cosplay of Street Fighter’s Chun-Li. She is one of several high profile Twitch streamers to receive a temporary ban from the platform for what she’s wearing and some are suggesting that Twitch may need to take another look at its moderation policies. Two Point Studios has lifted the festive pudding’s lid off its free winter update for spoof school strategy game Two Point Campus. This update will see players decking their halls with boughs of holly, thanks to a collection of new seasonal items that have been added to the game. Ubisoft is seeking to exert a measure of control over digital game key distribution, having partnered up with Genba Digital to introduce “silent key activation,” a method which will see to it that games sold through third-party stores don’t end up on sites that resell keys. This adds to an already existing relationship between the two companies, with 10 game stores - Chrono.gg and Fanatical included - having already signed on to use the service to sell all Ubisoft games....

Uncharted 4’s multiplayer beta will run from Friday, December 4 through to Sunday, December 13, Naughty Dog has announced. The beta will be available exclusively to those who pick up next month’s Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and will offer players the opportunity to play Uncharted 4’s multiplayer ahead of the full game’s release next March. As with other multiplayer games, you’ll need a PlayStation Plus subscription to take part....
