Owners of the original Nintendo Entertainment System who have been holding out for new releases, rejoice! Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl, is available for pre-order September 6. The co-op beat-em-up, based on the Kevin Smith film duo of the same name and clearly styled after the 8-bit classic River City Rampage, is being released in physical form on an NES cartridge through Limited Run Games. The game was revealed just last week with an almost-unnoticed announcement trailer that hearkens back to the old NES days, emphasizing just how EXTREME the game is and hinting that it’ll literally blow kids away with its intense not-stop beat-em-up action....

HMV is dropping the price of Titanfall 2 to just £19.99 on Friday. At that price, it’s totally unmissable. The price cut comes less than a month after the shooter’s release, and is available for a limited time only on both Xbox One and PS4. It’s joined by Gears of War 4, another top shooter that is being reduced to just £22.99 on Xbox One. Both games will be available at the reduced price in-store only, although I wouldn’t be surprised to see online retailers attempt to match them during the course of Black Friday....

Legendary skater Tony Hawk has revealed there were plans to follow up the well-received Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 remake with a similar launch for a Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4. However, these plans were scuppered when Activision merged developer Vicarious Visions into Blizzard - a move which saw the studio re-named to Blizzard Albany and re-emerge as a support studio for the Diablo franchise and other Blizzard titles. Hawk spoke of the now-scrapped plans in detail for the first time last night, while a guest on a fan Twitch livestream....

Although you start with an empty building, bit by bit you have to build your campus. Hire staff, create your rooms and classrooms, and brighten your lawns and gardens as students will look to enroll in your university. The basic goal of the game is to build the university the way you want and then keep it functional and running....

Two Point Studios is kicking off the reveal of the courses featured in upcoming Two Point Campus with its first one: Archaeology. The follow up to 2018’s Two Point Hospital puts players in charge of an educational facility this time around. They’ll have to provide accommodation, leisure facilities and, of course, those all important classes where students can learn. Just as with the previous games, these will include some quirky takes on traditional courses, given a Two Point signature twist....

A Reddit user has spotted that job listings on Bluepoint Games’ website states the studio is working on ‘remaking a classic for current-gen game systems.’ On LinkedIn, Technical Director Peter Dalton has written that one of Bluepoint’s current projects is ‘another amazing UNANNOUNCED project to please the masses.’ The Texas-based developer has worked on numerous PlayStation collections and remasters in the past such as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, Gravity Rush Remastered, and The Ico & Shadow of the Collosus Collection....

Unravel Two was heavily leaked ahead of EA’s press conference today, but they still managed to surprise us in the end. Riot Games has shared an update on its ongoing efforts to combat voice and chat toxicity in its free-to-play shooter Valorant, pledging that harsher, more immediate punishments for abusers - and its previously announced voice recording moderation system - are on the way. Riot initially outlined the areas it would be focusing on to combat unwanted player behaviour in Valorant - which included repeated AFK offences as well as those related to toxic comms use - in a blog post last year....

Free-to-play battle royale shooter Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is leaving early access and getting a full launch on April 27. Developer Sharkmob broke the news with a spiffy new trailer for the game showcasing its PlayStation 5 exclusive features. They’ll include two graphics options, letting you stalk the streets of Prague in 4K at 30FPS in Quality Mode. Alternatively, if it’s speed you’re after, Performance Mode will offer the game at 60FPS at 1440p resolution....

Steam Early Access smash hit Vampire Survivors has just received its newest patch, bringing the game one step closer to its full 1.0 release. Patch 9.0, nicknamed “The Flashy One” by developer Poncle, adds one character, a bonus challenge stage called Boss Rash, four achievements, two Arcanas, and a new hidden game mechanic as well as minor tweaks and bug fixes. Boss Rash, as the name suggests, is a boss rush stage, and new Arcanas Gemini and Twilight Requiem allow players to further experiment with their playstyle....

Tomorrow will see Update 3.3 arrive in Battlefield 2042, which will fix a variety of bugs and keyboard-related issues. However, that isn’t what has Battlefield fans talking. Alongside the confirmation of Update 3.3, developer DICE confirmed that both voice chat support and a scoreboard refresh are coming to Battlefield 2042. The first rendition of the scoreboard will be available in tomorrow’s update, but a further improved version will follow in early April....

So far, indie developer Cococucumber has released four games, including last year’s Echo Generation. Early on, Cococucumber’s games boasted simple, inviting 2D art styles. But starting with 2019’s Riverbond, the developer has chosen to inject all of its recent games with a voxel aesthetic that immediately catches the player’s attention. Ravenlok, Cococucumber’s latest project, looks to continue this trend, with the developer even labeling it as the third and final game in its “Voxel Trilogy....

Season 5 of the much-loved Warzone & Vanguard entitled Last Stand has been revealed by Activision Blizzard. confirmed to kick off from August 24. It’s being dubbed as ‘the final season’ for Vanguard. That does make sense, with Modern Warfare 2 with us in October. So without further ado, here’s what we know about Warzone Season 5. When does Warzone Season 5 start? Watch Dogs 2 will release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 15, 2016, according to an alleged leaked advert on IGN. The banner ad, which was grabbed by PureXbox.com, reveals the date, lead character and a San Francisco setting for the upcoming game ahead of tomorrow’s world premiere. Two other characters, including a skull-masked DedSec character, can be seen either side. The San Francisco location and 2016 date was first rumoured earlier this year, with the lead protagonist leaking a few months later....
