LEGO Marvel’s Avengers is the UK’s new No.1 video game, becoming the eighth LEGO title to do so, reports Chart-Track. The game goes one better than Marvel Super Heroes, which had to settle for a high of second because of Call of Duty: Ghosts. UPDATE 3pm UK time: Activision Blizzard exec Lulu Cheng Meservey has hit back at yesterday’s report which suggested the FTC will “fight” to challenge Microsoft’s deal. Making a statement on Twitter, Meservey said any notion the deal would be anticompetitive is “absurd” and that the “merger will benefit gamers and the US gaming industry - especially as we face stiffer competition from abroad”. Valve is suing Singapore-based esports tournament organizer Global Electronic Sports Championship (GESC) for missing payments of prize winnings and broadcast talent compensation from two Dota 2 Minor tournaments. The events in question took place in Indonesia and Thailand in 2018, each advertising a $300,000 prize pool. Valve published an open letter to GESC in 2018, outlining the $750,000 in missing prize winnings and talent payments. Dota 2 Minors each carry a standard $300,000 prize pool, with the champions taking home $110,000....

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe released a brand new trailer for the upcoming JRPG by level-5 Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom. Ubisoft has released the first ever Watch Dogs 2 gameplay walkthrough, direct from E3 2016. In the demo Marcus and his Dedsec allies infiltrate the home of a social media mogul. Dedsec is looking to expose the CEO who is using the citizens’ personal data to engineer a corrupt voting process. Watch Dogs 2 will launch November 15 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
