The first in-engine trailer for Total War: Warhammer has been released by SEGA and Creative Assembly. The video is the first in a series of cinematic trailers rendered in-engine. In the trailer we get to see Emperor Karl Franz, the revered leader of the Empire, rallying his army of men before going into battle against a horde of ferocious Greenskins. The Battle of Black Fire Pass teased in the video will be viewable in its entirety on July 30....

Tower of Fantasy is a new shared open-world RPG being created by developer Hotta Studio and published by Level Infinite. Revealed last year, its anime-inspired art style instantly brings to mind games like Genshin Impact. Given that Tower of Fantasy also has an emphasis on multiplayer and gacha mechanics, that comparison makes even more sense. We now know that Tower of Fantasy will release on PC on August 10. Insomniac Games’ Ratchet & Clank — that is, the PlayStation 4 game that launched two years ago, not the one from 2002 — has apparently come out on top as the studio’s most successful entry in the dynamic duo’s platforming antics to date. In fact, not only was it the biggest Ratchet & Clank game of all time, but Insomniac’s most successful game ever. ‘The budget-priced movie-tie-in Ratchet & Clank game we made which got an 85 metacritic and is the most successful Ratchet/Insomniac game of all time,’ wrote community director James Stevenson on Resetera....

Gaijin’s online aerial combat title War Thunder continues to evolve with new features and today they revealed the latest addition which is Twitch integration. Players will now be able to stream their gameplay directly to Twitch with the click of button. There are various customisation options to optimise the stream with with ability to stream in full HD if you have the bandwidth. “Working with Twitch is a very important step in War Thunder’s social campaign,” said Gaijin Entertainment CEO Anton Yudintsev....

Another major Twitch streamer is choosing to pass on renewing their contract with the platform in favor of moving to another platform. DisguisedToast, one of Twitch’s most popular variety streamers, announced Friday morning that he’d be streaming exclusively for Facebook Gaming going forward. As he departs Twitch, DisguisedToast had accrued over 1.3 million followers and well more than 3,000 monthly subscribers. During Ubisoft’s financial conference call for investors and analysts, chief executive officer Yves Guillemot and chief financial officer Frédérick Duguet talked about the games releasing during the current fiscal year and beyond. Duguet confirmed that Roller Champions will release in the first quarter of the fiscal year (which means by June), while Skull & Bones, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope will all come in the second half of the fiscal year, meaning between October 2022 and March 2023....

It seems as though Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End may be the next PlayStation Studios game to make the leap to PC. As spotted by Video Games Chronicle, presentation documents Sony published as part of its 2021 investor day are the piece of evidence that points to this, with one slide (page 26 of the public document here) which talks about ‘New Growth Vectors’ listing the title under a “More PC releases planned” section....
