University sim Two Point Campus has clocked up one million players in just a fortnight. Publisher Sega said its “bags of charm and tongue-in-cheek comedy” means the hit management sim has “surpassed the milestone even faster than its much-loved predecessor, Two Point Hospital”. “Two Point Campus was such a thrill to create so we’re ecstatic to see so many people enjoying the game as much as they do!” said studio director, Mark Webley....

Around 500 current and former Ubisoft employees have signed an open letter that not only stands in solidarity with Activision Blizzard workers walking out over the treatment of marginalised workers following its recent harassment lawsuit, but also calls on Ubisoft management to do more following its own allegations of a toxic workplace culture last year. As reported by Axios’ Stephen Totilo, the letter opens with a statement in solidarity with the workers staging the walkout....

Ubisoft first announced that it would revive the classic city-building strategy series The Settlers back in 2018. The company initially planned to release its new reboot during the fall of 2019, but it chose to delay the game until 2020 and then again until this year. With the game set to come out on March 17, and the recent launching of the closed beta, it seemed that everything had finally gone according to plan....

Windows 10 will be updated today to enable support for unlocked framerates and AMD Freesync/NVIDIA G-SYNC in Universal Windows Platform games and apps. Applications must also support the features so you’ll need to wait for individual updates, with Gears of War Ultimate and Forza 6: Apex expected to patch-in the features “in the very near future”. Ubisoft has announced that Watch Dogs: Legion will be getting its online multiplayer update on March 9. The offerings in the online mode include both co-operative and adverserial play, with extra-difficult Tactical Ops missions for up to four players to try and take on, the return of Invasion and a Spiderbot Arena PvP mode for Robot Wars-esque competitive shenanigans. Multiplayer was originally set to be added to the game in December, but was postponed so that the studio could focus on fixing the game’s tech issues on launch and to “give us more time to test the Online experience to help ensure a smooth launch of the mode....
