Today the Japanese Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association has revealed the main visual and a list of exhibitors for Tokyo Game Show 2022. Sega and Creative Assembly released a new video teasing the fourth legendary lord for Total War: Warhammer 3’s upcoming DLC Champions of Chaos. The trailer is very brief but it does focus on the forces of Khorne, and the description says “she leaves nothing but death in her wake…” indicating that the new legendary lord is female. If Creative Assembly follows its usual pattern, we’ll get a reveal cinematic trailer at the beginning of next week, followed by a much longer gameplay showcase full od dad jokes....

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s second Epic Mercenary live event has been scrapped, publisher Ubisoft has announced on Twitter. The sprawling Greek adventure game hasn’t had an easy ride when it comes to its live events, as the first Epic Mercenary battle was also binned. While last week’s Epic Ship event went off without a hitch, technical difficulties have once again blocked the appearance of Damais the Indifferent for a second time. Ubisoft says it’s working on a fix for the problem, although on the flip side I guess you could use the time to level up your character some more....
Ubisoft is opening two new studios in Europe to work on some of their ‘biggest franchises’. The new studios are opening in Bordeaux and Berlin, and between them are expected to hire at least 100 staff in their first year of operation. The Bordeaux studio, which is conveniently close to Paris, will ‘collaborate on the development of some of the biggest video game franchises to have originated in France, including Just Dance, Steep, and Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands....
Capcom confirmed they would be one of several major game companies that would not be there for PAX East. In spite of that, it turns out the next iteration for their fighting game, Ultra Street Fighter 4, will be making it to the event after all. Sega has announced that it’ll be releasing a brand new version of Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown exclusively on the PlayStation 4 next week. This latest iteration is partially a remake of 2012’s Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown but has what’s being called an “all star team” of developers from both Sega AM2 and Yakuza studio Ryu Ga Gotoku working on it. They’re bringing the game into an entirely new engine alongside brand new online features, and the project is apparently part of Sega’s ongoing 60th anniversary celebrations....
