This week brought the PC release of the narrative murder mystery Heavy Rain. With it, the developer also released a demo version. Heavy Rain, which first released in 2010 on the PlayStation 3, has remained exclusive to Sony’s consoles until now. PC players finally have the chance to play Quantic Dream’s narrative game that follows the story of the “Origami Killer.” Next month, Quantic Dreams is also releasing Beyond Two Souls for PC....

Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft’s team tactical shooter from 2015, will be getting a third year of support, including the first ever co-op event, Outbreak, plus two brand new maps and eight new operators to choose from. Ubisoft has said that Year 3 for RB6 will be structured into four Seasons. The first season includes two new operators who are ‘specialists in biohazard situations’ and will be playable in both the regular multiplayer and the Outbreak event, which will be running for free for four weeks....

Creative Assembly have pretty much confirmed today that Total War: Rome 2 will be getting a new expansion. The managing director of Ubisoft subsidiary Massive Entertainment, David Polfeldt, is leaving the company. Although we knew Polfeldt was planning to step down from his senior post to “pursue other challenges” at Ubisoft, originally he had planned to take “a long break” before “embark[ing] on a new adventure in Ubisoft” after a six-month sabbatical. Now it seems he’s leaving the developer/publisher altogether, having reportedly submitted his six-month notice at the beginning of the year....

GTA 5 is celebrating its return to the top of the All Formats All Prices UK Video Game Chart thanks to increased interest in the game after the long-awaited roll-out of Online Heists. Sales for the open-world action game are up an impressive 49 per cent. MMOs might be at the start of a renaissance right now. There is a sizable amount of players growing bored with the defining MMO, World of Warcraft. That could be because the most exciting thing WoW has going for it right now is that it’s doing it’s original thing.
