Sean Booth of British electronic duo Autechre has claimed they were considered to score the GameCube classic Metroid Prime. Booth streamed a “quick AMA” video on Twitch (ironically, six hours long) in which a fan asked if the duo were involved in Metroid Prime’s music (thanks VGC). Both Booth and his musical partner Rob Brown appear in the credits of the 2002 game, sparking much speculation as to their involvement....

Sam Fisher is coming back. Well, in a way. Ubisoft has officially announced that a Splinter Cell remake is in production at its Toronto studio, which was behind 2013’s Blacklist. The game is still in very early production, and the company is seeking out developers to bolster the team. Ubisoft plans to basically rebuild the game “from the ground up” without toying with the formula. In a brief Q&A that went with the announcement, Producer Matt West said that the Splinter Cell remake will keep to its original design....

Warlocks 2: God Slayers first released on Nintendo Switch last month on June 7. It had a somewhat positive reception on that platform, with a 62 Metacritic score, and a 65 OpenCritic score.
