Mobile gaming continues to reach new heights, and so do mobile gaming controllers and accessories. Now PowerA, a manufacturer well known for making officially licensed third-party controllers for consoles, has improved their line of mobile gaming controllers with the Moga XP7-X Plus, which retails for £86.70/$99.99. As a disclaimer, PowerA sent me the product to review. This allowed me to get hands-on to see how this new controller fairs - but also to find out if it’s worth its price tag....

There aren’t many things when playing Pokemon that will give you as satisfying a feeling as catching a Legendary — especially if you do it without using your single Master Ball. Most of the time, you only get one Master Ball, but there are multiple Legendaries to catch. When you don’t want to use it yet (or you already have), you’ll have to get crafty. There are, of course, many ways to catch a Legendary without using a Master Ball....

Square Enix brought Various Daylife, the mobile phone game, to consoles as a fun experience mixing life simulators with RPGs. Since it features RPG elements, you must strengthen your characters if you want to succeed during Expeditions. However, you don’t gain experience from fighting monsters, so how do you make your characters stronger? As you go through your daily life, you’ll level up, make more money, and grow closer to your friends....

In Time was met with underwhelming reviews, but it is an intriguing concept and an interesting aesthetically designed world. In Time may not have fully pleased audiences and critics, but there are a whole lot of great movies like it. Some of them star the pop star-turned-actor Justin Timberlake, while others share a cohesively dystopian outlook on the world and others still play with the same science fiction time concepts or deal with class disparity in a unique way in a science fiction universe....

I had a few qualms when I was reviewing Total War: Three Kingdoms – Fates Divided. The Chapter Pack DLC, one that adds a new 200 CE start date focusing on the epic clash between Cao Cao and Yuan Shao, was something that long-time fans and Romance of the Three Kingdoms enthusiasts have been waiting for. And, yet, I started asking myself how I would be able to fairly judge a DLC when a free update that accompanied it changed so much more....

There are a number of really great games in The Legend Of Heroes series, but none have been as popular or more divisive amongs fans than the Trails in the Sky and the Trails of Cold Steel series. Both have done extremely well and were considered the golden standard of JRPG gaming for their time. Each one brings something a little different to the table that will appeal to different types of players....

In addition to the scripted weirdness we expect from a Devolver Digital event, we also got some new game announcements. The Trek to Yomi trailer was the first thing shown off. Well technically Nina ate a chili dog before that, but that’s besides the point. In this stylish Trek to Yomi trailer reminiscent of black and white Kurosawa films we a lone samurai making his way through a 2D side-scrolling environment cutting down all in his path....

In Ubisoft’s recent Q3 FY2020 investor call, CEO Yves Guillemot shined a little light on the publisher’s plans moving forward. He revealed that there will be five new triple-A games releasing in the 2020-2021 fiscal year, meaning that each of these titles will released by March 2021. More specifically, 3 games will launch by December 2020, with 2 more following by March 2021 of that year. This spells good news for a lot of Ubisoft titles, but there are some that are more disappointing....

Last year, a group of current and former Ubisoft employees known as “A Better Ubisoft” wrote an open letter condemning the company’s degrading work culture. Written in solidarity with Activision Blizzard employees dealing with similar issues, the letter specifically brought up Ubisoft’s history with sexual harassment as well as its unwillingness to address these problems. Details regarding this work environment surfaced as far back as 2020, and the letter expressed disappointment over the continued prevalence of these problems a year later....

With no new releases hitting stores Batman: Arkham Knight was always going to hold on to No.1 for a second week, although the conclusion to the Arkham trilogy did see a pretty hefty 74 per cent drop off in unit sales – likely due to the game’s blockbuster opening week. LEGO Jurassic World also sticks at No.2, benefiting from the launch of the Wii U version, but still saw sales fall 11 per cent....

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens has made it three weeks in a row at No.1, a feat only bettered in the LEGO franchise by LEGO Batman 2 which achieved five weeks back in 2012. GTA 5 was also up 91 per cent, and Fallout 4 85 per cent, seeing the titles jump to No.5 and No.10 respectively. Xbox hardware bundle sales see Zoo Tycoon and Kinect Sports Rivals re-enter the Top 40 at No....

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, the 2016 action-adventure from Naughty Dog, almost had a stamina bar. When its hero, Nathan Drake, was climbing, this bar would pop up and govern his progress. This is reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. In that game, Link could scale even the most sheer surface, so long as he had the required stamina. Josh Scherr—who co-wrote the game, along with the director, Neil Druckmann—spoke about the mechanic on YouTube channel Couch Soup (via Eurogamer):...

The new Uncharted film has seen solid box office sales, despite it not being a hit with critics. In the live-action adaptation of Naughty Dog’s globetrotting adventure series, Tom Holland steps into the shoes of charming hero Nathan Drake. However, despite many lauding Holland’s portrayal of the lovable rogue, the film itself appears to have fallen flat. On Rotten Tomatoes, the film currently sits at 51 percent, with the critics’ consensus being that Uncharted is “promisingly cast but misleadingly titled” and it “mines its bestselling source material to produce a disappointing echo of superior adventure films”....

Riot Games has today revealed the details of Patch 5.07, which is set to go live tomorrow. As expected, the update brings a major overhaul to Fracture, rebalancing several of the map’s chokepoints. Elsewhere, there are big changes to the way the flashes of several notable Agents work, including KAY/O, Skye, Yoru, and Reyna. All the changes have been trialed on the game’s public beta environment (PBE) server over the past week, and Twinfinite has already discussed how the Agent changes are likely to impact the meta in a detailed feature....

Looks like StarCraft isn’t the only Blizzard classic getting a remaster. Warcraft III Reforged has just been announced at BlizzCon 2018! This Reforged version includes remastered visuals, and boy howdy are they pretty. Blizzard released a gameplay trailer alongside the announcement showing just how in-depth these visual reworks are. It’s not just textures that have been upgraded, the visuals for Warcraft III have been completely rebuilt from the ground up. The stories in the Warcraft franchise have always been some of the best among Bizzards works....

Vanguard guns in Warzone are available early ahead of Call of Duty Vanguard’s full release in November. Appearing in the game on October 12th, these are additional free tiers in Warzone and Black Ops: Cold War’s Season 6 Battle Pass. Specifically, you’ll be unlocking two weapons - the STG 44 and M1 Garand. However, these are not explicitly named as such, since you are only getting Blueprints for the time being....

Watch Dogs Legion is back in action with two old faces and a new storyline. Ubisoft took a faith of leap by introducing a new feature of making every-NPC and part of the main story. A game that tends to breaks the limits of standard gaming, allowing players to pick the character they love the most. If you had played Watch Dogs Legion you know it lets you hack into the life of citizens and convince them to join the infamous hacking group DedSec....
