THQ Nordic has announced its new Japanese subsidiary that will be in charge of distribution, PR, and marketing of its catalogue of games in the Japanese markets. Back in 2013, Swedish publisher Nordic Games GmbH snapped up the bankrupt American publisher THQ and its portfolio of former properties. Then, it began to hoover up games and studios like a rebooted Noo-Noo, including Carmageddon, Piranha Bytes, and Warhorse Studios. With only a minor controversy on an AMA hosted on 8chan occurring in March, THQ Nordic is well on its way to a fair shake of the sauce bottle with a global presence and a diverse collection of properties....

Video game publisher THQ Nordic announced today that it will hold its second Digital Showcase on August 12 this year. The publisher is promising new game announcements and updates on games it has previously revealed. On the website, it mentions that the showcase will expand “the company’s portfolio into new genres with both licensed and original gaming experiences.” THQ Nordic promises that it will hint at potential reveals closer to the showcase and that fans can expect “everything from intense, dark and gritty to light, colorful and just plain fun....

New release windows have been revealed for several upcoming indie games, including Stray and Cult of the Lamb. In a tweet from PlayStation, that also comes with a colourful teaser, the company revealed that Stray will be coming to consoles this summer.
