Last year over 180 million US gamers spent over $25 billion on games. This averages out to around $140 spent per gamer. Of that $25 billion, over $15 billion was spent on consoles (which includes the handheld DS and PSP). What really impressed me was that nearly 30% of gaming revenue was made from PC and online gaming (not including MMOs). In a world where PC gaming is supposedly dead, it looks to be doing very good for itself, pulling in roughly $7 billion....
