A new TV Spot trailer for Warcraft: The Beginning has been released, offering a new glimpse into the fantasy action film based on the hit MMO World of Warcraft from Blizzard. Warcraft is from Moon and Source Code director Duncan Jones and stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Rob Kazinsky and Daniel Wu. Tobii has revealed it is currently in negotiations with Sony to be the eye-tracking tech provider for the PlayStation VR2. The press release from Tobii is short and sweet. It took over 20 years for Seiken Densetsu 3 to get an official English release in Collection of Mana, yet now it also has a full remake in Trials of Mana. Funnily enough, this is Square Enix’s second remake this month of one of its much-loved ’90s RPGs. But they’re of course quite different. While that other game (you know the one) serves as a total reimagining and just one part of a new interpretation of the events of its original incarnation, Trials of Mana stays very close to Seiken Densetsu 3, for better or worse....

Developer Two Point Studios has some sad news today. The console port of its hit management sim Two Point Hospital has contracted a case of “delayitis.” Originally scheduled for a release this year, the game has been pushed to early 2020 so that the team can iron out some kinks. In a blog over on its website, the devs explained why they felt a delay was needed. Brad Laycock, brand director for Two Point Studios, wrote, “Put simply: making a management simulation game on three consoles (and making it the best it possibly can be on all three), is a tricky programming puzzle....

It looks like Ubisoft+ - Ubisoft’s own game subscription service - may finally be on the way to Xbox. Up until now, Ubisoft+ has only been available to players on PC, but a service that scrapes Xbox’s backend and spotted by our friends at VGC has reportedly found an Ubisoft+ logo in the system, hinting that Ubisoft+ may be coming soon. A prior announcement confirmed that Ubisoft+ - unlike EA Play - would not be part of Xbox Game Pass, and this is unlikely to have changed, particularly as a cut-down version of the Ubisoft sub, Ubisoft+ Classics, is available within the upper tiers of Sony’s rival PS Plus....

Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has reportedly apologised for telling employees ’the ball was in their court’ following disappointing financial results in the company’s most recent quarter. However, senior management is also said to have rejected calls - highlighted in a recent union statement - for inflation-matching pay rises and a transition to a four-day week. The UK government has told the UK games industry that if it won’t take action on loot boxes, it will draw up legislation that will. As noted by our colleagues at our sister site GamesIndustry.biz, the government today told game publishers that the luxury of regulating itself will cease if it does not take control of the sale of loot boxes to children and young people as those that use loot boxes are “more likely to experience gambling, mental health, financial, and problem gaming-related harms”....

Valkyrie Elysium received a lukewarm reception when it launched on PS4 and PS5 in September. The game is now also available on PC, bringing with it hours of hack-and-slash action.
