There’s never been a worse time to be a Star Wars fan… at least, that’s what most Star Wars fans would have you believe. According to many, Disney’s handling of the sequel trilogy has tarnished the franchise and left a black mark on what was otherwise a pristine set of films… assuming you ignore all of the flaws with the other six movies. With The Rise of Skywalker apparently set to disappoint everyone this weekend and The Last Jedi having killed the franchise so thoroughly that nobody can ever stop talking about it, we thought it may be prudent to recap some of the other awful plot points and narrative arcs introduced to the galaxy far, far away....

THQ Nordic issued a statement this morning announcing they have acquired 100% of Koch Media for 121 million Euros. The acquisition will see THQ Nordic take control of Koch’s Deep Silver label which includes AAA IPs such as Saints Row, Dead Island, Risen, Homefront, Agents of Mayhem and Metro. With this acquisition, they also now own the partner publishing side of the Koch business and their film business in the German and Italian territories....

Gearbox and 2K have released the latest DLC for shooter Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, adding its promised seventh class, Blightcaller. The Blightcaller class focuses on elemental damage and poisons, and they’ll get a bonus boost when applying status effects. That’s thanks to their Class Feat – Whisper of Rot. Just as with the base game’s classes, the Blightcaller is able to be combined with any of the existing ones for even more customisation....

For friends who play across all sorts of different platforms, here’s some good news. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will have full cross-play support when it releases on March 25. Regardless of the system you play on, you’ll still be able to play with your friends on other platforms. Randy Pitchford, CEO of The Gearbox Entertainment Company, excitedly announced this on Twitter. This is certainly a great step forward for players across all systems....

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Ubisoft’s movie tie-in from The Division developer Massive Entertainment, has been delayed. The game will now launch in “2023-24”, Ubisoft confirmed this afternoon, as part of its first quarter of 2022 financial results. This seemingly means a shift back to the publisher’s next financial year, meaning we won’t see Avatar now until after 31st March 2023. Ubisoft had previously pencilled the game in for launch later this year, likely alongside the arrival of James Cameron’s much-delayed though not hugely-anticipated Avatar film sequel The Way of Water, which hits cinemas on 16th December....

A 48 hour demo of Umbrella Corps has been released for PS4, Capcom has announced. The demo went live this morning and runs until midnight tomorrow, offering players access to online modes and maps set on the streets of Raccoon City, the derelict RPD building, and the Spencer mansion.
