When Voltron Legendary Defender was announced back in 2016 it came with descriptions of the major characters. Coran was called Allura’s “major domo” and “royal advisor.” It didn’t exactly get the hype train going. It actually sounded a lot like Coran in the original 80’s Voltron (voiced by Peter Cullen), a no nonsense character who never had time for the Voltron teams antics. Boy did they undersell him. The Final Fantasy X collaboration rerun is currently underway in War of the Visions, but Square Enix and Gumi are bringing back even more reruns this week for some pretty good units in the current meta. The headlining features in this week’s update are the return of Trials of Reckoning, as well as banner reruns for several Global-exclusive units and the Warriors of the Crystals. First off, Trials of Reckoning will run from June 29 to July 12, so players will have two weeks to nab all the rewards, including Auron’s Sunglasses, a new UR accessory that you can craft....

Wargroove is a charming, jam-packed little indie game that’s unfortunately being overshadowed by everyone going crazy over Apex Legends. Still, it’s a no-brainer at $20, especially on the Switch. Fatshark Games has announced that rat-tastic sequel Warhammer: Vermintide 2 on PC has sold over 500,000 copies since its debut on March 8. Console owners will still get their slice of the limb-dismembering action, with the game due to hit PS4 and Xbox One at a later date. For now though, its developer is giving itself a firm pat on the pack for its success with the PC version. ‘We are proud and happy that gamers worldwide have taken Warhammer: Vermintide 2 to their hearts,’ beamed Fatshark’s CEO, Martin Wahlund....

Developer Fatshark has announced that it’ll be delaying co-op action adventure Warhammer 40,000: Darktide to Spring 2022. A tweet posted to the game’s official account reads “We have a responsibility to deliver the best game we possibly can, and frankly we need a little more time to accomplish this goal. It’s no secret that building a game during a pandemic is a challenge and we are not immune to this. We are planning to use the extra time to both focus on the level of quality at release, as well as invest in more systems to support Darktide for years to come....

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge is a free-to-play digital collectible card game due out on PC via Steam and mobile next year, with full cross-platform support. It’s in the works at Everguild, maker of the The Horus Heresy: Legions card game set during the all-encompassing Space Marine civil war that took place during the 31st millenium. Warpforge is of course set in the 41st millenium. According to Everguild, “several” of the best-known armies from the grimdark setting are included at launch, with more set to be added alongside regular expansions....

Watch Dogs: Legion has a premium chunk of DLC, called Bloodline, launching in July. During the Ubisoft Forward showcase, the trailer for Bloodline gave us a glimpse of its weary hero, Aiden Pearce. Aiden is returning from Watchdogs, in which he appeared for the first time, wearing a cap, and a trench coat the colour of a trench. Now he is London, looking out for his nephew, Jackson, while breaking into a Broca Tech stronghold....

Nintendo Direct takes place at 11pm BST this evening, and you can watch it live right here. What Nintendo is going to show off is unclear, but we know 3DS and Wii U owners will get news. Nintendo has also said it is going to make new announcements, so fingers crossed for some new games and not just Virtual Console titles.

When the first season of The Way of the Househusband anime adaptation launched, Twinfinite covered how the series doesn’t even deserve to be called an anime. With season 2 released in January 2023, things haven’t changed even a little, which continues to be frustrating. For this reason, the anime got a place in our list of manga that are far superior to their adaptations. The Way of the Househusband is a great manga because it’s wholesome, goofy, and has a comedically serious art style to contrast the light tone....
