A new report by UK consumer watchdog Which? has claimed two in five Joy-Con controllers from the original version of the Switch are affected by persistent drift. Switch has faced widespread complaints around Joy-Con controller drift since its launch in 2017, leading to class action lawsuits, and even EU calls for an investigation into the issue after it received more than 25,000 complaints from numerous countries. Reports were significant enough that Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa apologised for the issue in 2020, which it’s since claimed to have “improved”....

The new ‘immersive community event’ called Ubisoft Experience will be coming to Sydney on September 14 and 15 at the Roundhouse at the University of New South Wales. Previously, the studio announced that Ubisoft Experience will also be held in Paris and in Birmingham, though we don’t have dates for those events yet. Ubisoft Australia managing director Edward Fong said in a statement, ‘We can’t wait for the community to see what we have in store for them and are thrilled to showcase some of our biggest titles and host some of our brightest talent from around the world....

To the delight of many, Ubisoft showed off some actual gameplay of its upcoming Assassin’s Creed Valhalla during Ubisoft Forward. And, it was a lot of gameplay. The trailer runs over five minutes, showing off combat, exploration, stealth, equipment and more. Also, the publisher revealed the game’s release date: November 17.
